Week 4 (List)
Teaching that deals with uncertainty and complexity when dealing with environmental economics?! Wow!! Too bad this is for PhD students... This listserv seems to be fairly irrelivant to our education since it has mostly to do with job opportunities and advanced educational aspects and not so much dealing with issues... but maybe this is just the evolution of the list (meaning it has changed since last year) or the pulse of the season and more interesting stuff will start soon. (I really hope so...)
Still, the opportunities presented here are really good ones and (if nothing else) this is a great resource for those of us who intend to pursue this kind of knowledge to look for opportunities (such as this one which is a really great opportunity!)

Dear Colleague,
A series of four European Marie-Curie-funded summer schools in Emerging
Theories and Methods in Sustainability Research (THEMES) will start this
summer. The Autonomous University of Barcelona will host the first
school. The topic is 'Analysing Complexity' and dates are June 07-17,
2006. We would very much appreciate if you could forward an e-mail with
the text below and the attached document 'themes.doc' to PhD students
and other early stage researchers that might be interested in this
series of summer schools in general or particularly the course on
Analysing Complexity.
We have also attached a poster for the THEMES series and would
appreciate if you could put down this poster wherever you find it
appropriate.
